Small Cap Portfolio Management

George Register heads up our small cap division and manages commission based portfolios. George and our in house analyst Travis Weitz, CFA employ both traditional and untraditional approaches to research, placing emphasis on a company’s management, market positions, earnings and earnings potential, and the financial health of the company.

Our analysts add particular value to the investment process by their ability to maintain a solid working relationship with management of the companies we follow, meeting and talking with them frequently. Our analysts understand how top management thinks, assess their vision, fully review their business plan, follow their execution, and make judgments accordingly. The analysts also look for a recognizable catalyst that can increase shareholder value and broaden a stocks investment audience. We take positions with long term gains as our goal but trade stocks according to analysis we conduct. We believe in diversification through concentrated portfolio positions of select stocks.
